The Seth Peterson Cottage was the first, and now one of the few, Frank Lloyd Wright
designed homes available for public overnight rental. The Cottage has enjoyed exceptional
year around use since it opened in 1992. Reservations and maintenance are handled by a
property management rental agency, Destination Dells, in nearby Lake Delton, WI. Nestled
in the lush woods of Wisconsin’s Mirror Lake State Park, Seth Peterson’s cottage offers
privacy and quiet — an opportunity to relax refresh and reflect. You may just want to
hibernate with a book or board game by a blazing fire while snowflakes swirl in the pines.
Or, you have your choice of hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, golfing on a
professional-class course and, in season, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Cottage
rental includes a canoe, paddles and life preservers. Firewood is provided.
- The Cottage has one bedroom and sleeps two comfortably. There is a fold-out bed in the
built-in banquette for an additional two people.
- The galley kitchen is outfitted with adequate equipment and utensils for preparing most
meals. A gas grill is provided on the terrace.
- A two night minimum stay is required. Exceptions are made for an occasional single night
that fall between multiple-night reservations.
- Reservations fill quickly and can be made in advance. If desired dates are not available or
you wish to make last minute reservations, please check the Destination Dells website
(https://www.destinationdells.club/listings/530634) regularly.
